Rangers supporter heading to manchester!! advice plz?

going down to manchester 2 join the celebrations, any tips from locals or travellers would be welcome (dont come doesnt count). I'm thinking of taking car, parking out of hustle and bustle then busing it into centre. Where is best/safest to leave car???
