If Chris Hoy wants to attack politicians, should he not be attacking Gordon Brown?
After all if Gordon Brown hadn`t indulged in some cheap vote winning in the wake of the Beijing games to distract from his disastrous Premiership. i.e his ludicrous insistence that there will be a GB football team at London 2012 despite the Scots, Welsh and Irish wanting no truck with this farcical idea. There would have been no need for Alex Salmond to highlight the far more sensible idea of Scotland running its own team at London 2012. Chris Hoy`s later remarks about Scotland not having the facilities to compete is utter rubbish. First of all, you should be proud to represent your country, not worry about whether you will win or not. Secondly, there is nothing to stop Scots athletes being given money to train in other countries. after all the British Ski team regularly train in the Alps. If I am not mistaken, they are not a UK dependency.
